More Chelsea
“But for her upcoming comedy tour, The Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang Tour (named after her upcoming third book, out March 9 from Grand Central Publishing), the comedian is trading in Grey Goose for Belvedere, the official sponsor of the Live Nation-produced event.”
I am more excited about the book than the change in her vodka preferences. If I could trade lives with someone it would...

Until a friend reminded me I had forgotten that one of my New Year’s resolutions was to get a job in advertising. It’s just over three weeks into the new year and I can cross that resolution off the list.
A few weeks ago I got an email from a recruiter that I’d sent my resume to back in August. She asked if I was still looking for a job, then whether I was in NY. I scribbled...

The voice leaves something to be desired but it’s a cute idea.
I sent: “What’s Carolina ranked? Oh yeah, that’s right. They aren’t.”

Idea of the week
“Following your dreams is perhaps the most important thing to do in life.”
On my agenda
Assuming the dinner date doesn’t pan out, I will be making spaghetti with meatballs (recipe courtesy of Giada) and this grapefruit yogurt cake. Because how do you not want to know what a grapefruit cake tastes like?

Oh yeah, and I need to do laundry.
You also must read about how Channing Tatum burned his penis off. I’m so in love...

What you really must do is watch the video of him from a chippendales-esque “male dance troupe” when he was 18. Mmmmm
Knock on friggin wood
The strangest thing has happened. It’s January 13th and I have yet to get a cold this fall/winter. Seriously? Seriously. I don’t know how it happened and has sustained. I got the flu in September and maybe it was a magical flu that gave me an intense immune boost that has lasted and lasted? Who knows.
However, I have also come to learn that I blow my nose everyday during the...
Why I love my mother
Her email today made me laugh out loud. First, she told me that she and my dad signed up for their gym’s Biggest Loser competition as a team. I didn’t get any details about what it actually involved other than being weighed regularly but just picturing the possibilities amused me. (My parents are maybe 10-15 lbs overweight.) Second, check out how she signed the email:

“This shows Google’s remarkable power as a source of data on a range of human behaviors, emotions, and opinions. It gives us insights into what people might care the most about concerning a given topic. When people search a particular political leader, what are their main concerns? What are people secretly guilty about? For better or for worse, Google’s obsession...
Good day
Got out of work at 5:30PM today. That, ladies and gentleman, is a good day. Sound sad? Well, when 7-7:30 is the average escape time 5:30 is heavenly. I’m really hoping things stay slow at work for a few more days.
Made it to the gym and made dinner (yummy beef stew, pic later), two achievements for a weekend. Going to the gym in January requires a pep talk, burst of jogging to keep...

When I came home tonight, I was drunk.
I have since sobered up.
In the time between (more on the early side), I made this very strange xmas greeting video to the tune of a classic Mariah Carey song.
Yup.
My biggest regret of Christmas 2009 is that I didn’t see this video until January 2, 2010.
I don’t know what the hell is going on here but I’m...
Shopping woes
All I wanted was to buy a danged full length coat and some long underwear. LL Bean, help me out here! Why do you not have any smalls in stock!!
Things I Have Accomplished in 2009
First of all, I don’t really know how to measure my years anymore because I’ve always measured time by school years. It was never a calendar year, but August to May and then summers. I’m still mourning summer vacation, but I digress.
This year, the calendar year of 09, has been a pretty big year for me even if it doesn’t feel like it.
Spring semester I got away with 3.5...
I went on a date this week...
and here are the highlights:
I misremembered, misheard or otherwise mixed up the guy’s name and actually saved it in my phone wrong so when he called and said “Hey this is ____” I was more than a little confused. I suspect that I am in fact NOT crazy but I met two people that day and only remembered one name. The wrong one.
We went to a Brazilian place in the Village that...
May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope...
